Sam, I LOVE the pictures you create for your articles! Do you create them on Canva?

A series of questions for you. My most recent book still hasn't found a publisher. It's a transition book between category romance and women's fiction. If it hadn't had two important subplots and 5 important characters (all leading into the next book) my Harlequin editor would've bought it.

I don't have an extensive email list. About 100, I'm proud to say, on SS. I don't have the money for Amazon advertising. Consequently, I'm afraid to publish this book with KDP. I don't want to charge per chapter. Each chapter leads immediately into the next. The book is 300 manuscript pages.

I'm thinking about Notes and hints in my Linda's Heart newsletter to attract more subscribers. I think I sent you this book--Kiss Me, Cindy or maybe Forgive Me, Cindy--a good while ago. If not, I'd love to send it to you. Maybe you'll know the right path to take.

I've used KDP for several novels, eons ago (feels that way), and I'd love to re-issue them. Cindy would be third in the Kiss Me Series. The other three are historical romances.

I know others have these same questions. I know your answers will be valuable to everyone.

Thanks and HUGS!

Linda

So first the easy questions. The pictures come from AI it has been a leaning curve getting the prompt right but that is how I create them. I use a mix of ChatGPt and Microsoft designer to produce them.

Yes you did send me the book and I really liked it.

My thinking is you have two options with your book, both require us building your newsletter a little more. The first is that you offer the book as a free download to paid subscribers, setting up your paid tier is easy and I can help you through that. However, that might be a little slow in getting the funds in especially if people have not read your stuff before.

My second option would be to publish on KDP and then advertise it through notes and your newsletter, of course I will put it on my site for you and do my advertising package for you. If you are going to publish more in this series then the first one you could virtually give away and the next two make the money on. I would also suggest putting them on unlimited because people tend to keep reading on there once they read the first. If you were going to spend any money I would not spend it on advertising anyway I would advise spending it on a cover design because no matter what we all say, we all judge a book by its cover.

Hope that helps. Ask anymore questions and let me know where I can help.

Take care x
